Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Point Richmond Optometry a proud provider of vision care products and services in Point Richmond.


Paula C. Asmus, O.D.

After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Dr. Asmus attended the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry and received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1990. She is currently an active member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and Alameda-Contra Costa Counties Optometric Association.

Her license allows her to prescribe glasses, train eye muscle deficiencies, fit contact lenses, comanage laser vision correction and treat various health conditions of the eye, including glaucoma, foreign body removal, allergies, and conjunctivitis. Her education is ongoing with seminars that keep her and her staff up to date with the latest advances in eye care.

When she is not working, Paula enjoys playing tennis, golf, mountain biking and spending quality time with her husband, Ron and two sons, Derrick and Alec.


Way C. Yu, O.D.

Dr. Yu received her undergraduate degree at Claremont McKenna College, and her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry. Before joining Pt. Richmond Optometry, she externed at the Portland Veteran Affairs Hospital. Castle Family Health Clinic (in Atwater, CA), the Alameda County Medical Center’s optometry clinic, and the Meredith Morgan Eye Center at UC Berkeley. She is licensed to perform full-scope optometry encompassing the treatment of glaucoma as well as specialty contact lenses fittings (including Corneal Refractive Therapy).

She is currently an active member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and is a Board member of the Redwood County Optometric Association.

Although she was born and raised in Southern California, Way loves the weather and culture of the Bay Area and currently lives in Marin County. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, reading new books and traveling with her husband and two sons.


Lisa, ABOC, NCLEC

With more than 30 years of experience, Lisa understands which frames best accentuate every face shape. She also keeps herself educated on the latest lens technology to provide the most satsifying eyewear for our patients. In her spare time, Lisa likes to cook and spend time with her family.

 


Liberty, Optician

Liberty joined the Point Richmond Optometry team in 2013. Liberty enjoys helping patients find the best lenses and frames to fit their vision needs. Liberty is also our frame buyer so she always has her eyes on the latest in eye wear fashion and trends. In her free time, she enjoys hiking around the Bay Area and collecting feathers.
